Be still. Get grounded.
Hi, I'm Gracelyn. I lead faith based sound baths for anyone who needs a moment of rest and stillness. No experience needed. Come as you are. Leave grounded.

A sound bath is a time to lie down, get comfortable, and simply listen. As you rest, I play crystal singing bowls, and their tones fill the room and wash over you. There's nothing you have to do or know beforehand. You just breathe and let your mind slow down.

Sound has been used to calm the mind and spirit for thousands of years, through song, chant, and instruments. We even see it in Scripture. When King Saul was troubled, David played the harp for him, and Saul found peace (1 Samuel 16:23).
The crystal singing bowls I play are a more modern discovery. In the 1980s, people found that the quartz bowls used to make computer chips rang with a clear, beautiful tone, and those bowls became the singing bowls used in sound baths today.
As for the name, a sound bath simply means being surrounded by sound, the way water surrounds you in a bath.

My faith is what kept me steady through the hardest seasons of my life, so I wanted to create a space where rest leads back to God. Every session is inspired by Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God." We open with a short scripture and prayer, then spend the rest of our time in quiet stillness.
If you've ever wondered whether sound baths fit with your faith, this space was made with you in mind. And if faith isn't part of your story, you're still welcome here.
-
When you arrive, you'll settle onto your mat with a blanket and pillow. I'll welcome everyone, share a scripture, and open in prayer. Then I'll begin playing the bowls, and for the next 45 minutes you'll simply lie back and listen. At the end, the sound fades slowly and you'll have a few quiet moments before we close.
-
Anyone who needs a moment of stillness. You might be grieving, adjusting to motherhood, managing stress, or living a life that rarely slows down. You might just be tired. Wherever you are, you're welcome here.
-
Many people say they leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more rested. Some drift off to sleep, some get emotional, and some simply enjoy an hour where no one needs anything from them. It's a gentle way to quiet your mind and give your body a real break.
Sound baths aren't a replacement for medical or mental health care, but they can be a peaceful part of caring for yourself.
Not ready to book yet? Find a comfortable spot, put on your headphones, and let God meet you in the quiet.
FAQs
-
Most sessions last about 45 to 60 minutes, including a few minutes at the start to get settled.
-
Wear something comfortable you can lie down in. Bring a yoga mat, a blanket, and a pillow so you can get cozy. An eye mask is a nice extra. (If you forget something, I'll have a few extras on hand.)
-
Please arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early so you have time to set up your space and settle in. Once the bowls begin, I'll keep the room quiet so everyone can rest.

This is such a good question, and one I asked myself too. Some people connect sound baths with other spiritual practices, and I understand that concern. The bowls are simply instruments, and I play them by their musical notes, the same way you’d play a piano in worship.
The bowls don’t heal. God does. I don’t use chakras, energy work, or crystal healing. Every session is centered on scripture, prayer, and resting in God’s presence. If you’re unsure, pray about it and do what gives you peace. Whatever you believe, you’re welcome here.
-
Absolutely. Most people who come are trying it for the first time. There's nothing to learn and no wrong way to do it.
-
That's completely okay. It happens often, and it usually means your body needed the rest.
-
Sound baths are very gentle, but if you're pregnant, have a seizure disorder, or have a pacemaker or other implant, please check with your doctor before attending. You're always free to sit up, adjust, or step out at any time.
-
All community sound baths are free. Private sessions start at $50.
-
Yes! I'd love to bring a sound bath to your church, small group, women's ministry, studio, workplace, or home anywhere in the Alpharetta and greater Atlanta area. Visit the Plan a Sound Bath page and we'll plan the details together.
